The conference is the largest national GIS conference in the UK and Informed Solutions were sponsors to the poster session which had over 50 research posters (also summarised here) on display. Informed team members were also on hand to discuss careers in GIS at the event, at the same time gaining fantastic insight on leading research topics. To the credit of the GISRUK organsiers, this year was the most successful conference yet with over 230 delegates in attendance.
The company were also delighted that colleague Rica Duchateau was presenting her MSc paper on harnessing Voluntary Geographic Information to map Crofting in the highlands of Scotland, a topic close to informed Solutions’ heart as supplier of the Crofting Register for Registers of Scotland.
After attending the conference dinner (pictured above), Matthew Rix (Technical Director) commented:
“We’re incredibly proud to work with GISRUK and leading universities to showcase and support geospatial innovation in the UK in a great forum. I’d like to offer personal congratulations to Rica for having her own research poster on display at such a prestigious event.”
