Personal Perspective

Having obtained a BA in Geography and an MSc in Geographical Information Science, I joined Informed Solutions as a Graduate Technical Consultant in 2012.  I was keen to work somewhere where I could apply the skills and knowledge developed during my academic studies to real world problems.  Moreover, I knew that I wanted to work with people, not just IT and data, so consultancy offered the balance I was looking for.

As a graduate at Informed, I was quickly offered the opportunity to become involved in frontline projects, working on a variety of engagements across different clients and sectors.  Looking back over my first year, it is incredible to see how many different projects I have been able to get involved in.  From the very start I had real accountability and have been continually encouraged to broaden my responsibilities.

For me, the most rewarding part of being a member of Informed’s Graduate Programme is the company’s commitment and dedication to the development of our graduates; from building technical proficiencies to a very high standard, to developing our leadership skills.  Whilst the working environment is fast-paced, and at times pressured, the culture is highly positive and supportive and everybody at Informed makes the effort to provide encouragement, advice and guidance.
