Inspired by Shara Evans, Grounded by David Thodey, Captivated by Atilla Brungs and Enthralled by Alexis Rouch, the AIIA ‘s Forum on “Skills for Today. Jobs for Tomorrow” delivered an exceptional conversation on Australia’s evolving workplace. Informed were privileged and delighted to be part of the forward looking conversation that explored the jobs of the tomorrow, educational disconnect and the evolving trends of employment.
Life-long learning was a key a phrase of the afternoon and the rhetoric was never truer with a poll highlighting that 76% of Australians believe they have to remain up to date with their industry’s shifts in market.
The vanishing job myth was also debunked with the AIIA’s reporting highlight how a total of 3.6 million jobs had been created over the past 15 years, outweighing job loss 10 to 1.
The afternoon also highlighted the potential for technology to exponentially grow the jobs in Australia, creating new roles such as robot technicians, blockchain ombudsmen, automated drone regulators and remote vehicle operators.
Informed got to peer into the predicted future of Australia’s workforce, and was stirred by the need to change our educational sectors to prepare us for the upcoming shift in our workplace. For more insights on future of the Australia’s workforce checkout the AIIA’s report - http://bit.ly/AIIAReport
